Art Portfolios Cases combine Style and Security

By Shannon Hilson

With all the effort it takes to create a work of art, the last thing you want to happen is that all of your hard work to ruined by being bent and mangled inside your portfolio. It only needs one bump or spilled drink to undo hours of hard work. While soft sided portfolios provide limited protection for your work, if you want the maximum of protection you should take into consideration to use metal portfolios for your artwork or presentations.

Why pay the extra money on metal portfolio cases? The answer is simple: security and style.

Security

The main function of a portfolio is that it's protects the content and your artwork or presentations comes out of your portfolio in the same condition they went in. When you bring your work to present it to a buyer or a client you want it to be in perfect shape. Leather, plastic, and vinyl portfolios are good to a point, but they fall way short of the protection a metal case would provide.

Although you may try to protect your portfolio from harm while you are out, accidents do happen. Typically these accidents happen at the worst possible time. You are on your way to a big client for a job that could result in a large payday, and that is when the person walking by you on the street trips and falls right into your portfolio.

If you are using one of the less expensive soft cases, the art inside could get badly harmed. However, if you were willing to pay a little extra to get a quality metal art portfolio, the contents inside would be kept safe from harm in any situation.

It is also possible that the day you have to meet with the client for your big presentation is the day of the heavy storm. Even though some of the inexpensive cases may give you some limited protection from the weather it may not be enough when you face a stronger rain. You are left with the option of risking to ruin your presentation, or trying to reschedule the meeting for a another day. Either option is not acceptable when dealing with a client. You can improve the weather resistance of your case by using a waterproofed metal case.

The style

If you want to make a good impression even before you open your case then you should consider showing up with a silver portfolio case in your hand. It effectively provides the statement that the contents are worth to protect, and that they are not the usual presentation.

Competition is hard in business nowadays. Some clients see a lot of different presentation every week, and unless yours stand head and shoulders above the rest, it could get lost in the crowd Sometimes it is the appearance of the presenter as much as the actual presentation that wins the big job. One way to stand out from the crowd is to carry a portfolio that is more stylish than the usual case that gets toted around by applicants.

When you want to show your presentation with style and safety, the best option available is to use a metal art portfolio.
