Could we see Ronaldinho in a Liverpool football shirt by next season?

By Tom Doerr

The news that would please every Liverpool fan for sure, Ronaldinho has undoubted quality, once the main man at Barcelona, the Brazilian lost his way a little since leaving the club and has never recaptured the type of form which led Barcelona to Champions league victories and finals of the world cup.

If he did go to Liverpool it may shock the world of football, Liverpool still not pulling up trees in the Premier league and already out of one cup could tempt Ronaldinho with the simple offer of a first team place and UEFA cup. Ronaldinho is currently struggling in Serie A having been left out the world cup squad this summer also not a lot is going for this undoubted talent.

Once a winner of the Balon D'or Ronaldinho has found himself nominated for the Bidon'e Doro which roughly translates to the golden dustbin this signifies the biggest flop of the season in Serie A and to be fair the player list doesn't look all that bad, with players like Cannavaro, Marco Matterazzi and Mancini featuring on the list.

Current Liverpool midfielder Lucas has said what a great addition he would be for the club 'Everyone knows Ronaldinho's quality and what he can do. Without doubt it would be a great boost for us.' Said last seasons Liverpool's young player of the year.

The Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson however has been playing down any talk of signing international superstars they are linked with such as Ronaldinho and Uruguayan striker Suarez.

Hodgson however has been forever diplomatic even hinting that he is more interested in Ashley Young than the several international stars he has been linked with "Ronaldinho and Suarez are players who we have never even thought about but I would think there is not a manager in the Premier League who has not given Ashley Young a thought at some stage or another," said Hodgson.
