How To Prepare Your Motorcycle For The Cold Season

The final end of fall season makes motorcyclist in great excitement because there is new challenge on the upcoming season. At this time, the weather is cooler than usual and the roads are full of snows which bring trouble for motorcyclists.

In spite of these facts, the winter also brings good news for them to encounter promising challenge in riding motor. For making sure the motor in good condition and ready to enter winter season. Some small designs should be done with the use of proper supplies and tools.

What's more, the supplies and tools needed in redesigning the motor are oil, oil filter, cleaning kit, fuel balancer, chain lube, spark plug wrench and spark plugs. The cleaning kits are also necessary for cleaning the motorcycle excellently.

For your motor treatment, these things should be there. Mild detergent is required in cleaning the motor for preventing corrosion while cleaned. The road should be cleaned from any dirt and insects. Use chamois as well for cleaning and drying the motor.

How to clean the chain? The WD-40 can be used for it. The fuel stabilizer is also necessary since the motor will be not in use for several days.

The fuel stabilizer is effective to guard the machine from built up of sludge which can endanger the balance of engine. Always warm up the engine every time it goes with some treatment.

The oil filter and the spark plugs also should be cleaned out for better performance and tune up. Please consider the battery in the engine. If you are no longer use the battery, it should be replaced with the battery charger to get rid of the substance of sulfates and other elements threatening engine's stability.

Usually this issue rises up in very low temperature. If the motor is just not being used, you should keep it at balance temperature storage where the cold will not influence the stability of engine while not in use.
