Buying an Electric Skateboard For Transportation and Fun

By Troy Baxter

If you are looking for a fun and cool way to get around town, try an electric skateboard. It can help you get to where you want to go faster, and even give you extra help up hills.

With most electric skateboards you can still kick the board yourself. If you want to save your battery and burn some calories, you can kick and save the battery for when you need it, such as for a hill or for when you need an extra boost.

If you are tired of walking to school, your next class, your place of work, or wherever, throw a little excitement in your life and pick up an electric skateboard. Walking is boring, riding an electric skateboard isnt!

If you are looking for quality electric skateboards, check out the models that E-Glide makes. Three of the electric skateboards take only four seconds to get up to 20 mph. Their lightest and smallest skateboard, the DC-36, is their most affordable model, but it doesnt go as fast as the others. Instead of using a wireless controller, E-Glide attaches their controllers to the boards with a cable. Wireless controllers can be susceptible to interference.

Exkate produces electric skateboards that all use wireless hand held controllers. They have a nice line up of boards. There most expensive models can go 19-20 mph. If you are looking for a board with a little more backbone, check out their electric skateboard made for rougher terrain.

While some models can come with a hefty price tag, they aren't at all expensive to charge. If you compared the cost per mile of an electric skateboard versus a car or other gas burning vehicle, you'd be amazed at how much cheaper electricity is!

Before purchasing an electric skateboard, do your research and then pick the right one for what you need. Whether it is for fun, transportation, or both, Exkate and E-Glide both make great boards that are worth a look at.
