A Variety Of The Most Memorable Films From The Likable Actor, Leonardo DiCaprio

By Ethan Daniels

Leonardo DiCaprio is an amazing actor. This is undeniable truth. You can argue it, but you'd be wrong. The guy consistently gets to choose the best roles available and it is no secret that he's Martin Scorsese new favorite actor to work with (the previous of course being Robert De Niro).

This article will highlight some of Leonardo DiCaprio's best movies to date.

The first movie I will discuss happened to be directed by, surprise surprise, Martin Scorsese, and is none other than Gangs Of New York. Being a native New Yorker, this film depicted the early days of New York City like I had never seen before.

Another film of Leonardo DiCaprio's that is definitely worth seeing, if you haven't already, is Shutter Island. This is a different type of movie for both Leo and diretor Martin Scorsese; it is dark, it is scary and it has a twist that will blow your mind.

Another great film that stars Leo is Blood Diamond. Make no mistake, this is not an easy movie to get through. I had trouble getting through the first scene of the movie, which rivals Saving Private Ryan's bloodiness. A great movie nonetheless.

Another amazing film that happens to star Leonardo DiCaprio is Inception. I don't think the role that he played in this film was particularly demanding, but that doesn't stop it from being an absolutely incredible movie.

Who can make a list of Leonardo DiCaprio films and not include The Departed. There is a reason that Leo was cast in the role of Billy Costigan, a cop on the wrong side of an undercover investigation. His paranoia in this film rubbed off on me. This movie is directed by the great Martin Scorcese and has an all star cast including Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen and the lovely Vera Farmiga.

In reading this article, I am hopeful that there is at least one movie on this list which you have not yet seen and will not add to your movie list.
