Candy molds are very significant components in making home candies. The reason behind this is because they give shape and shape to candies. Molds are generally made from silicon and there are some that are made from plastic. There are also some made from metal but these are generally much more expensive than the two that were just mentioned. Silicon molds are the most durable out of the three are very flexible too. Your next best option for selection would be the metal molds.

Flexibility may not be their best trait but they can withstand the heat of the candy mixture. If the candy mixture sticks to the surface of the metal molds, apply a small amount of butter to the cavities and this should do the trick. Homemade Candies cannot hold on to grease and applying butter will make their elimination so much easier. With the sheet of tray that you will use to collect the finished product, the same must be done.

Plastic molds are the cheapest and the easiest to acquire out of the three. They are different from metal and silicon molds. The kind of candy that you are making will be play a key role in determining what candy mold to use.

So where can we buy these molds? The local grocery store should be able to give you some answers. Most grocery stores sell basic candy molds with common shapes. For uniquely shaped candy molds, you will need to go online. There are sites that sell molds shaped liked dog paws and so many more.

With everything that was mentioned you should always put into minds that only your thoughts can limit the style of your molds for your Homemade candies. If you want the normal shaped ones, go to your local grocery store but if you are looking for the uniquely shaped one, the internet is the source to go to or you can ask a local expert in candy making
