Horse Racing History In Australia

In countries like Australia, horse racing is one qualified sports for them.All over the globe, Australia is one of the top three leading in Thoroughbred racing. The sport generates millions of dollars in revenue each year and it's easy to become a part of this opportunity.Everyone will begin to like the sport when they knew about the fundamental learning and racing tips.A horse racing competition has been a very long time sport. Information show that in the year 4500 BC, this already took place the Central part of Asia. It was initiated during the time that man has trained the horse and for many years, the birth of horse racing begun and kings and noblemen became fond of this sport.

At some time in the early years in Australia, horse racing had come. The first horses arrived in Australian shores in 1788 along with the First Fleet.There were stallion, a colt, a filly and four manes to name. In New South Wales alone by 1810, the number of horse immediately multiplied to 203 horses in the 19th century.

At this time, horse racing activities were initiated inside a colony and only those military officers and land owners owned a horse since it is very dear and rarely seen. People who came by and watch the race are mixed with normal ones to those who have higher ranks in the society and they even exchange their own views about the horse.

The Governor Macquarie at the time in October of 1810 at the new Sydney Racecourse set off a first official race meeting. For three days, they have discusses about horse racing.

As time passed, Sydney's suburbs sprawled upward and its racecourses had to be relocated.Inside the city and all over the country, race courses were seen being built. Each town holds meetings regularly in their own jockey club.

A large crowd has caught the attention of the free occasion in the country.

In Wallabadah, the first country racing club was formed in 1852.

The most popular race horses came from New Zealand, the Phar Lap-a which is a native in the year 1923 to 1932 although there were a lot of good race horses known too. Another popular horse is Makybe Diva. It won three times and in consecutive years at the Melbourne Cup! From the 1st of August till the end of June is the time of the year of horse racing. Saturday is the chief day for racing during this period.
