Paintball Protective Gear Is Essential For All Players

By Baxter Wells

Before you go into a paintball arena to take on your friends and colleagues at this exciting game, be sure you wear appropriate Paintball Protective Gear. You might think that a strong jacket, jeans, and shoes are sufficient to prevent injury, but they are not. If you are into this action sport on a regular basis, it's advisable to purchase your own gear.

The most important item is a good quality mask or full-face goggles. Whenever paintball guns are being used, these should be worn all the time. Your eyes, nose, mouth, and ears are not only at risk of the stinging rubber bullets, but other debris can ricochet off objects and cause serious damage.

In addition, the splattering paint can cause other health issues. If you choose to go with goggles, it is important to maintain the lenses to ensure effective protection. The lenses should be replaced every six months especially if you are a regular player.

Do not play a game of paintball with cracked or scratched goggle lenses. To prevent the lenses from steaming up with sweat or in hot weather, get a pair that has thermal vision or use an anti-fog spray. The importance of eye protection cannot be over-emphasized.

Too many preventable accidents have occurred, some of which have resulted in complete blindness in this activity that is supposed to be fun. Body armor is also recommended. This can avoid painful bruises on your torso. Furthermore, the armor can reduce the pain when getting shot by an opponent, and protect you if you fall or trip.

Underneath your armor, you must wear garments that cover your whole body, e. G. Long pants, closed shoes, and a long-sleeved shirt. A pair of gloves is also a vital component of Paintball Protective Gear. Getting shot in the hand could spoil all the fun if you can't complete your game because of a preventable injury.
